Entre janvier et août 2013, Amélie Debray a photographié des femmes dans des centres d’hébergement social, des centres d’accueil de jour, des espaces solidarité insertion, des centres d’accueil d’associations de Paris.

Les photos grand format ont été exposées sur les passerelles du Canal Saint-Martin et au Point Ephémère à Paris.

Amélie Debray a photographié des femmes qui doivent survivre.

Between January and August 2013, Amélie Debray photographed women in social shelters, day centers, solidarity integration spaces and association drop-in centers in Paris.

The large-format photos were exhibited on the footbridges of the Canal Saint-Martin and at the Point Ephémère in Paris.

Des canyons arides de l’Utah à l’immensité verte des vallées du Wyoming, en passant par le Montana et ses sommets enneigés, Amélie Debray revisite le mythe de l’ouest américain.


À travers le portrait de 3 femmes singulières, 3 héroïnes des temps modernes qui se battent pour vivre leur passion de la nature et des chevaux. Qu’elles aient 40 ou 70 ans, rien n’arrête Cortney, Heidi et Jennifer, pourvu qu’elles galopent.


Épousant les cycles immuables de la nature, des hivers glacés aux étés suffocants, les cowgirls font corps avec l’univers.

Le projet débute lorsque l’Afrique du Sud est désignée pour accueillir la prochaine Coupe du monde de football. Pour la première fois de son histoire, cet événement parmi les plus populaires, se tiendra sur le continent africain.


Amélie Debray propose un regard croisé mettant en perspective les terrains d’Afrique du Sud avec ceux de France ; ce qui les rassemble, ce qui les distingue. 

Au delà du jeu, elle s’intéresse avant tout aux individus. Comment un sport peut-il rassembler des millions d’amateurs ? Qu’est-ce qui pousse ces individus à s’adonner à cette passion ? Bien plus qu’un loisir ou un passe-temps, le football représente pour eux un réel investissement personnel. &#38;nbsp;
Ses photos ont été exposées en Afrique Australe, et en France.

The project began when South Africa was chosen to host the next Football World Cup. For the first time in its history, this most popular event will be held on the African continent.

Amélie Debray takes a cross-cultural look at the pitches in South Africa and France, comparing and contrasting what unites them and what sets them apart. 

Above and beyond the game, she focuses on individuals. How can a sport bring together millions of fans? What drives these individuals to indulge their passion? Far more than a hobby or pastime, soccer represents a real personal investment.
